David Chiang
As the Founder of Sage-N Research, David has over 30 years of business development, marketing and engineering experience. Before founding Sage-N Research , he was employed by Xilinx, Inc., the world leader in the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) industry where he headed the Strategic Marketing Group and successfully launched the Virtex-2 product family, after heading the IC Design Engineering Group in the CPLD Division. Before joining Xilinx, he was a Senior Design Engineer for Altera Corporation, as well as for the Research Laboratory of Fairchild Semiconductor. He is the inventor and co-inventor of 31 U.S. patents and numerous international patents, and holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Ping K. Ko
Professor Ko is President & CEO of Silicon Federation International Limited (SFI). SFI consists of more than 10 member companies and each of the investees is top-notch in its own area of specialization. He received his B.S. degree in Physics from Hong Kong University in 1974, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of California at Berkeley, in 1978, and 1982 respectively. He joined the Berkeley faculty in 1984, and was Vice Chairman of the EECS department and Director of the Berkeley Microfabrication Laboratory. He served as the Dean of Engineering at the Hong Kong Institute of Science and technology from May 1994 to July 1999. He was awarded the Justice of Peace in 1997, and is actively involved in the IC development of Shenzhen Industrialized Base.
Andrew Kwong
Andrew obtained his legal training in the U.K. He is a specialist in M & A, public and private equity issues. He was the Senior Investment Manager of Hantak Limited, the private equity arm of the Hang Lung Group with a fund size of US$250M, where he was responsible for over half of the investment portfolio in Asia and the US including a number of semiconductor companies in the US. Andrew currently is an investment consultant to some of the top property developers in Hong Kong. He holds a law degree from University of Liverpool, UK and has attended senior financial and management courses at Stanford Business School, USA and HKUST/Kellogg School of Management, Hong Kong.
David Soo
Dr. David Soo is the Founder, President and CEO of Chrontel, a leading supplier of PC-TV encoders. Prior to founding Chrontel in 1986, he was a researcher in receiver electronics for optical communication at AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey and at the Electronic Research Laboratories of the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Soo received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, at Berkeley.
